Kelly, Jennings and Lacy have hired an articling student annually for the past three years and will continue to do so in the future.  The articling experience at Kelly, Jennings and Lacy includes the thorough preparation of all manner of files including homicide, criminal negligence cause death, aggravated assault, sexual assault, robbery extortion, obstruct justice and weapons offences.  The preparation of a file includes legal research, conducting client and witness interviews as well as having regular and direct contact with the lawyer who is in charge of the file.  Students will be given the opportunity to appear with counsel at trials on the matters in which they are involved.  Students have their own office, which is fully equipped with state of the art computer equipment and all the usual amenities.
